Challenge: customized griffin

I lurv this pic. O.O

While on the phone with MissKittyInTheCity, I remembered a thought that came to me while camping (someone had brought their cat for some odd reason, and there was a bird on a branch above it). Why are griffins always golden eagles (some sort of eagle) and lions? What sort of griffin would you make if you could combine any bird with any cat? I’d do a panther and an osprey, or a tabby and a peregrin falcon. Things like that. Maybe some sort of blue cat with a Blue Jay…… what sort of combination would you do? Comment with your combinations. And if you can do pictures, great. In the future, I’ll probably do pictures of griffins, but for now, my animal drawing skills aren’t the best.

Good luck with the challenge! ^_^

I think it would depend on the type of Griffin I am. If I was a hunter, I would be crafty and have the head of a rabbit and wait to lure my prey by resting the upper part of me as bait and then lunge out with the claws of a lion because hey, a girls still gotta eat, right? For sheer beauty I would think Puma or Cheetah or something with acdistictive coat and coloring. Also, can you imagine an elephant mix? Oooh! This question has my remaining brain matter bubbling overtime!! 😉

Distinctive coat….arrgh! Darn spellcheck keeps changing my words!!

XD I think I’ll have to edit the post to “a cat/bird with any other animal” or something like that. 😛 Very interesting combinations Miss Kitty! The rabbit with the lion sounds amazing to me. 🙂

  2. I don’t see an image….it’s broken.

  3. :3 A white tiger and an osprey. Or maybe a bengal tiger and a bald eagle (dun judge. I likey da bald eagle)

Sounds totally fantastic! 😀 There is no way I am going to judge you negatively for making a bald eagle combination. I like bald eagles too. 😛
