So I couldn’t think up a better title, what are you going to do? Hit me with a rubber chicken? Ha! That is hardly impressive. *gets avalanched by rubber chickens* CUT IT OUT! Yes, that is impressive. But we are not here to discuss rubber chickens, no matter how much I would now like to strangle some of them. We are here to discuss a very very important fact: I WON SOMETHING.
Eh? What’s that you say young lassie? You’ve got a dun beetle? I never knew those existed.
NO! I won something! WON SOMETHING!
No need to shout! I ain’t deaf (yet)!
Now before I continue jumping around, let’s get something straight. You might likey this book, but I likey it more, and seeing as I likey it more and I won it, it’s mine. I won’t be telling you what I think of the book until I have the chance to finish reading it. Good. This isn’t to be mean, it’s for the safety of my book, which I absolutely must read before anyone else.
Now for the title…… *epic drumroll* It’s a debut novel for an author by the way.
Just gerron wiv it!
No need to be mean, voice-in-my-head. The book is called Sandstone and Mirrors by Angelique LaFontaine. Not only is she nice, but the book sounds so freaking interesting! But maybe that’s my excitement at winning something talking…… no, it’s definitely this that’s forming an opinion:
Carli, a young woman in her mid twenties finds herself unsatisfied with her life and yearning to discover her own greatness. Thru a series of extraordinary events, she finds herself hurled into the middle of a long lasting battle between good and evil where she eagerly accepts responsibility for what it is she was destined to do. Unaware of where reality truly stops and her own dreams and desires begins, Carli not only takes her place in this battle but she discovers her own strengths and capabilities in ways she never thought possible. She discovers the importance of personal sacrifice and the what it means to truly give of ones self in form of love and loyalty.
How can that not sound awesome?!
Lassie, you’re getting ahead of yourself. You’ve got to get things done right now, you shouldn’t be blogging! You should be working on the first draft for your own debut novel.
*grabs voice-in-head by shoulders and shakes it* Don’t tell me what to do voice-in-my-head! Being excited and blogging about it is incredibly important! Now let me go walk around like a cartoon rooster some more….. *walks off*
Sometimes I wonder about that lass…….
And drop the accent! We all know it’s fake! Or at least…… I do.
